The might of valve

First off, I would like to apologize for the lateness of this post (its not even really weekedn any more). I had to get a wireless dongle for my computer, and till then I was internetless. I has it now, problem solved. Its actually quite good, I got a gaming one, and all reccomended servers have gotten between 15-30 ping most of the time. Though I did manage to push my computer back under my desk, pushing it downwards and almost breaking it (This was before I tried to use it on games, so I hope I didnt damage it, and it is infact better, because I payed £45 for it 0_o)

Anyway, onto topic, this one might be shorter than the rest, mainly because its late, but also because its something I wanna write, but Im not sure how much I can write about it.

Anyway, if you actually play good games, and not call of duty and fifa all the time, you will have heard of valve. Valve, in my opinion, make the best first person shooters ever (well, its the only genre they make) and I will review some in the future.. They are also, in my opinion, the best developers ever. They give so much stuff away free, from DLC  to the central pc gaming hub, Steam. And their games are cheap too.

Which is the topic of todays post.

If youve used steam, you will  know about the store. If not, theirs a store on it. Here you can buy the latest games, DLC, retro games and indie games, and at good prices too. Ive found tons of great indie games this way, nice, cheap options to break boring afternoons. But the steam store is a good way for these indie develepors to get their games known, without having to pay too much to advertising, as well as get users on servers and every aspect of games.

But although valve supply this, they too, destory it

Think about the store prices a sec. The indie games are relatively cheap.

But so are valves games

Valve are the best for value of games. Although some games start at £30 (Left 4 dead 2 comes to mind) All their games are £15 or lower, even one being released free. And thats not generally because their old, with left 4 dead 2 still being £30 in shops, and the games being constantly updated with free stuff.

Add on the valve sales, with games going down to about £3, and the valve complete pack, and youve got some of the greatest bargains in the world. But what does this do to the indie games. Although its true that there on the store, they are constantly being crushed by the mightiness of valves power.

So, my fewllow steamers, we need not to fight back against valve, but merely support both communities. Id rather have both valve and indie games on the store, not just one or the other.

This weeks main update is still scheduled for tommrow, so see ya then
